ABOUT THE ROCK
The Rock Rooms are located within several middle and high schools in Marion and Lake County. The Rock provides essential needs for students in our local community, giving them hope for a future by providing them power in the present.
The Rock rooms provide resources such as food, clothing, hygiene products, counseling and much more. They are staffed full-time by community volunteers who are available to support students during the school day. They help the students find what they need and listen when they need a kind ear.
STUDENTS KNOW THEY CAN HAVE THEIR NEEDS MET AT THE ROCK!
We call it the Rock because it is intended to be a foundation the kids can rely on. The Rock Rooms are staffed full-time by community volunteers who are available to support students during the school day. The Rock provides the students with the basic needs.
PHYSICAL NEEDS
With your help we provide resources for students. The Rock Rooms offer students in need school supplies, food, toiletries and more. There are volunteers who are available to support students during the school day, help them find what they need, and listen when they need a kind ear.
EMOTIONAL NEEDS
We help the students who are going through a difficult time through partnerships with local organizations and counselors.
HOPE FOR THE FUTURE
Students know they are accepted at The Rock any time they need school supplies, clothing, hygiene products, food, or just to talk to someone. We provide the necessities that allow a student to be properly prepared for a day of learning.
